funny, thing is the lear45 i fly for a charter in central illiois has FMS and if you go to the approaches page on the CPU, and correctly enter landings data, the flight computer will perform auxiliary actions for you, such as flaps(when localizer is intercepted flaps extend according to speed), speed brakes, spoilers, reverse thrust. The model is a 2006 model.

FMGS is just what the europeans call FMS. It is the same thing. And by the way nobody cares if you know so much about planes. And yes the FMC does tell you when to retract the flaps...in fact, it does it for you if you preflight it that way.
